I'm so excited!!!!

One more night and then we are off to see The League of Gentleman live and I'm so excited I could burst! I really don't know what to expect and so far have not read any reviews, I'm glad really as I didn't want to go there tomorrow and know what to expect. I like surprises and I'm sure tomorrow night will be full of them.
Oh, I still haven't heard the new Kate Bush song and if I hear one more person tell me that "it's not that bad actually" I might just hurl, only because I'd rather hear from people who do actually like Kate Bush and appreciate her work because I feel, oh I don't know how I feel, but I generally don't like opinions which consist of "it's not that bad actually".

My Man is a Sweet Man, My man is a fine man

... as Millie Jackson sang back in the'60s and he certainly is. I came home from a shitty day at work to find that he had recorded the new Kate Bush song 'King of the Mountain' onto his mobile phone. He is brilliant like that, the recording wasn't great but the fact that he did that for me was wonderful, he's not even a Kate Bush fan but due to my nagging he is learning to open his ears to her, I've started him on the "The Red Shoes" not sure if it's a good idea to start with that album but we'll see. All I wanted to say was that it's the little things that give you the greatest smiles.

Songs for lovers . . .

I couldn't think of anything interesting for the tiltle of this post hence the shite title. If you have ever felt the horrible fear that lies somewhere deep inside of losing the person you love have a listen to "I Got You" by Splitz Enz. Ok, so it's old and many people sneer at Splitz Endz and their work but this song will cheer you up and appear to answer the questions of why when swamped in the wraps of love there is always that fear hidden deep inside that you may have your heart broken. Well I think so.

Special Stuff from Royston Vasey

Even if you have never watched The League of Gentleman go watch the film - The League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse. It's sick, scary and very wrong but very very funny, probably the only film where the rape scence (with the twigs) from Evil Dead gets an amusing (if wrong in some peoples PC eyes) comment, I laughed so much that my belly hurt. I'm going to see the live show in 2 weeks and having seen the film I am like an over excited Ribena berry.

Ma-in-law likes a tipple . . .

I had my ma-in-law around last night and watched her get slightly merry. My ma-in-law is a great woman, and I am extremely lucky in that we actually get on really well,
she's been through so much and is an incredibly strong and independent lady and I just admire her. Anyway, I love it when older people drink, they never get drunk (yeah right!!) and are always right! It was mint to watch the ma in law get tipsy, especially watching her tell herself off and then hoping that no one had noticed her talking to herself. It's not often I get to observe people under influence while I am in a sober state and last night well, it was funny, so funny that my husband and I had to hold off the laughter until the taxi had pulled away and then behind closed doors we both collapsed in a huge heap of laugher with tears streaming down both our faces (well, mine mainly but my man was very close). It's not often my lovely in law lets her hair down and it was great to see someone who is so prim and proper having a good time. I must call andsee how her head is, hopefully not to sore!

Testing time at work

I am having one of the most awful work experiences in my life. I work with a complete fuckin little madam, who is more akin to a whore than a office worker. I am sick and tired of coming into work not knowing what horrendous mood she is going to be in, so today I have managed not to speak from 9.00am this morning up until now, it's been good, for me at least. I don't know what to do for the better, do I leave my place of work because I work with a complete fucking idiot whore or do I be all grown up and act like nothing bothers me?? This is one of life's little test's, and I am finding it extremely testing indeed, I feel like I could kill this person and know that once said act has been committed I would be happy, honestly the way I feel right now I just know that I wouldn't give a damn about ending that whore's dirty little life.
I feel better (only a little bit), I'm not really a murderous kind of person but sometimes you meet people and they do/say things that are really not very nice and I have let this person get under my skin.
I'm going for some soup, always guaranteed to pick me up!!

Ronnie Barker has died, blimey, one of the only comic genius's left from my childhood that I truly loved. RIP Ronnie Barker, you will be missed.
